About TradesTechGuide

We help trade professionals find the best apps, software, and AI tools for their business — so they can book more jobs, run leaner operations, and spend less time on paperwork.

Why We Built TradesTechGuide

Tradespeople run some of the most demanding businesses in the economy — managing crews, scheduling jobs, writing estimates, ordering materials, chasing invoices, and trying to find new customers, all at the same time. The software tools that could make all of that easier are out there, but finding the right ones for a trade business specifically is harder than it should be.

Most software review sites cover generic business tools written for office workers. TradesTechGuide was built specifically for the trades — every review we publish is written with the realities of field service work in mind. We evaluate tools based on whether they work from a phone in the field, whether they handle the job types and billing structures that trade businesses actually use, and whether they deliver a real return for a business that runs on thin margins and tight schedules.

What We Cover

How We Review Tools

Every tool we feature is researched and evaluated based on real-world use cases for trade businesses. We evaluate each tool on five criteria:

✅ Mobile usability — Does it work from a phone in the field without requiring a desk setup?

✅ Trade relevance — Does it handle the job types and billing structures trade businesses actually use?

✅ Time savings — Does it reduce the admin work that takes time away from billable hours?

✅ Value for money — Does the ROI make sense for a trade business watching every dollar of overhead?

We are not paid to feature any tool — our rankings are based purely on merit. When we recommend something it is because we genuinely believe it is one of the best options available for trade businesses.

Our Content

TradesTechGuide publishes new reviews, comparisons, and guides three times per week — covering the tools and strategies that matter most for trade businesses in 2026. We have published over 150 articles across eight trade categories and continue adding new content every week.

The trades tech landscape moves fast. We continuously monitor the tools we cover, update our reviews when pricing or features change, and add new tools as they emerge. You can always trust that what you read here reflects the current state of the market — not a review written two years ago that nobody has touched since.
